Can I level with you?
I sincerely missed connecting with you over the course of the past week or so!
There were reasons I was absent, legitimate ones most assuredly.
Two visits to the ER in the span of five days with several doctor visits on either side of the ER bookends led me on a whirlwind tour of our local healthcare providers.
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name. You are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. For I am about to do something new. Do you not see it? I will […]
This week I attended two funeral services.
The first was for my Uncle Pickles and the other was for the father-in-law of a longtime friend of mine.
Much like you, I have attended many such services in the past. I most likely will do so in the future.

It’s Resurrection Sunday morning and it is quiet.
The silence summons reflection and asks me to travel back to what seems like moments ago.
My thoughts are centered on a time gone by and are accompanied by the sights, smells, and sounds of yesteryear.
You will make known to me the Path of Life. In Your presence is fullness of joy and in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. (Psalms 16:11 NASB)
It’s always good to hear from old friends, especially those with whom one might have been “up close and personal”.
Reconnecting after a lapse of time can be a subtle reminder of care-free moments shared which are now relegated to our personal history book.
Doing so is also an inner appeal to make the effort to re-establish where possible certain relationships, making them a priority.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
Life is circular. As I alluded to in a recent post, the natural seasons change as do the seasons of life. What goes around typically comes around.
