Christmas is no ordinary day.
It is an outlier to the other 364 days on the calendar, far to the extreme right of center.
It is a day in which we take time to pause and reflect or at least we should.
Last weekend we experienced a first.
On Saturday we did a few things around the house, went to the mall, and decided to take in a movie for a change of pace.

Can I be brutally honest with you?
I really don’t feel like sitting here to write this post.

To categorize the past seven days as “normal” would be the farthest thing from the truth in describing the events of the week.
